Hi I am David J Grimshaw of New Zealand;
This site is about the GRIMASON One Name Study I started.
I first started this hobby of Genealogy (Tracing ones Family Tree) in 1984 and started following the paper trail back.

This Website is for those that have an interest in the GRIMASON surname and it’s variants around the World, it is also for those GRIMSHAW’s that can trace their respective line back into Ireland and more so into county Armagh, Ireland.
There is also a DNA project for the GRIMASON surname and variants at Familytree DNA.com for those that want to join please do first test with Ancestry.com as going through them first is less expensive in the long run as the Raw Date can be uploaded to most of the other companies that do DNA tests.
Those of you that have already tested via Ancestry.com are still welcome if you are a GRIMASON or variant of the surname or happen to be a GRIMSHAW that has traced their line back to Ireland.

The Blazon in plain English:The shield is divided horizontally.
The upper part is Gold/Yellow, with two branches of Oak, both vertical, one on the right side and one on the left. Both are green, with five pieces ( Four Leaves and One Acorn ). The Lower half of the shield is Red, with a Seven pointed Star of Yellow/Gold.
This Coat of Arms was awarded to a member of the Family on 10 March 1790 in Bavaria, Germany.
